About Art Therapy
An art therapist can support a person in therapy to explore their emotions and feelings through the creative process of art making, in a safe, boundaried and non judgemental way.
Art therapy is a way of using art making in therapy sessions to help people explore their life experiences, thoughts and feelings when words can be difficult or hard to find.
You don’t have to be skilled at art making just your willingness to take part is all you need.
Using art making can help to explore complex and challenging emotions and feelings related to challenging lived experiences of both mental and physical wellbeing.
Each session will focus on using art and creativity to build on your strengths and explore ways to live well with your mental health improving quality of life.
